Today, the newly appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan Askar Tazhibaev presented copies of his credentials to Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov.
The Head of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible position and wished him success in his diplomatic activities.
During the followed conversation, strengthening cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas was discussed.
The diplomats considered aspects of the interstate agreements implementation reached during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Turkmenistan in October 2021.
The parties also touched upon the issues of holding the VI Caspian Summit in Turkmenistan this year.
Askar Tazhibaev was appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan on March 15 this year. Prior to that, he headed the Kazakh diplomatic mission in Tajikistan.
