During the telephone talk hold today the Presidents of Turkmenistan and the Turkish Republic Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Recep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed their drive to further largescale cooperation, the Turkmen State News Agency reports.
Congratulating the Turkmen leader on the early presidential elections successfully held on a broad alternative basis, the Turkish President noted that “all significant successes and achievements of the era of power and happiness are associated with the name of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who has been at the helm of the Turkmen state for the past 15 years”. Approving the wise decision to hand over the reins of power to younger, energetic leaders, Recep Tayyip Erdogan wished the head of state success in his new field - Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan.
After the leaders of two states addressed the best wishes to each other and people of both countries, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave a telephone to newly elected President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Having accepted cordial congratulations of the President of Turkey with appreciation, Serdar Berdimuhamedov assured his commitment to the policy of broad international cooperation, particularly, to all round expansion of political and diplomatic, commercial and economic, cultural and humanitarian ties.
