In February 2022, the construction of a new textile workers' Cultural Center will start in the Turkmen capital. Today, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding Decree during a working meeting, the Information Program "Watan" of the Turkmen Television reported.
As noted in the document, the construction of the Dokmachylar Center is to be carried out "in order to continue the ongoing work on the development of the country's culture and art area, as well as to stimulate creative workers."
A new cultural institution will be erected along Seidi Street. The Ministry of Textile Industry that will manage the Dokmachylar Center is allowed to conclude a contract with the State enterprise Dokmakhyzmat for the design, construction and equipping this facility with the improvement of the adjacent territory.
The document instructs to commission the facility with full operational capacity in February 2024.
"All our victories and achievements are inseparably linked with culture. Therefore, the state allocates large funds for the development and enrichment of national culture," the Turkmen leader said.
