Metamorphoses did not occur because of artificial dyes. With the change of seasons, the chemical composition of the lake water changes, so the color of this healing reservoir also changes.
The Mollakara sanatorium, located 134 km from the seaside city of Turkmenbashi, is a unique balneological resort and specializes in mud and hydrotherapy, in particular, brine baths. The water in the lake is highly mineralized, the mud contains a large amount of sodium chloride, calcium chloride, magnesium and bromine. For more than 120 years, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, blood vessels, joints, digestive tract, nervous system, urological and gynecological diseases, and radiculitis have been treated here.
