According to the founder of Microsoft Corporation Bill Gates, the world is waiting for a decline in the incidence of COVID-19 after a wave of the omicron strain and the coronavirus will move into the category of seasonal diseases. On his Twitter page, the billionaire wrote: “After the “omicron” passes through the country, the rest of the year there should be much less cases of diseases, so the coronavirus will be treated more like a seasonal flu.”
Gates also noted, that along with the wave of the omicron strain of COVID-19, health care systems in different countries will face difficulties, and most severe cases of the disease will occur in people who have not been vaccinated, writes “lenta.ru” edition.
Bill Gates has previously suggested, that the coronavirus pandemic could end in 2022.
