A meeting of former students studying in Japan was held in Ashgabat, according to the website of the Japanese Embassy in Turkmenistan.
The meeting was held at the Ambassador's residence and was attended by 10 Turkmen citizens - graduates of Japanese educational institutions.
Ambassador Yamamoto, speaking to the audience, thanked everyone for their cooperation and asked to actively contribute to the initiative to hold an event in honor of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Central Asia, which will be celebrated next year.
Earlier we reported that 2022 marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Turkmenistan.
