Ex-UN Secretary General was presented in Seoul with a medal in honor of the 25th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan

The anniversary medal in honor of the 25th anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan was presented to the former UN Secretary General, head of the Institute for Global Green Growth, Ban Ki-moon.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the award ceremony, which was attended by Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Korea Kim Hyoeung, ambassadors of foreign states, as well as representatives of international organizations, was held on November 17 in Seoul.

During the event organized by the Turkmen embassy in honor of the 30th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan, Ban Ki-moon expressed his gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. He also noted that Turkmenistan has always attached great importance to cooperation with the UN and international relations.

The anniversary medal in honor of the 25th anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan was established last year when this date was celebrated. It is awarded to citizens of Turkmenistan and representatives of foreign states "for many years of conscientious work in the name of strengthening the legal status of permanent neutrality of Turkmenistan, active and effective state and public activities, as well as for a great personal contribution to strengthening the international authority of the Motherland throughout the world."
