Serdar Berdimuhamedov heads the delegation of Turkmenistan to the Climate Change Conference in Glasgow

Vice - Premier for Economic, Banking and International Financial Organizations Serdar Berdimuhamedov headed the delegation of Turkmenistan at the annual UN Conference on Climate Change (COP26) that has opened in Glasgow, the country's State News Agency reported.

The 26th Session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change is an important international forum where heads of state and government from around the world discuss and agree on joint steps to combat global warming.

The forum is expected to take stock of the five years since the signing of the Paris Climate Agreement at COP21 in 2015.

The conference, which will last until November 12, is attended by representatives of 196 countries. At the same time, the main event of the forum will be the summit of world leaders, which is scheduled for November 1 and 2. More than a hundred heads of state and government are reported to have participated in it.
