E-business promotion in Turkmenistan discussed at the OSCE seminar

The promotion of E-business, as well as the role of the state in the development of legislation to promote digitalization, was considered by the participants of a two-day seminar organized online by the OSCE Center in Ashgabat.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministries of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations, Economics and Finance, Justice, Central Bank of Turkmenistan, other government agencies, commercial banks and the private sector.

Modern international trends in the field of e-business and e-commerce were highlighted by international experts from Kazakhstan and Moldova. They presented best practices in developing strategies and legislation to create an enabling e-business environment and attract investment. The experts also described regulatory tools and policies for the sustainable development of e-business and e-commerce, shared best practices in ensuring the security of digital markets.

The participants of the seminar discussed the possibilities of developing the digital market in Turkmenistan.

Commenting on the topic of the seminar, Acting Head of the OSCE Center in Ashgabat William Leaf said:

- The introduction of digital systems and technologies into national practice requires the development of effective organizational and legislative mechanisms, as well as the consistent improvement of human and organizational potential.

Remind that the OSCE Center in Ashgabat organized a two-day online seminar to study the best practices of modernizing customs and transport procedures as a tool to improve the efficiency of transport management and strengthen transport security, especially in emergency situations.
