Two posts of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers have been abolished in Turkmenistan. One of them was Serdar Berdimuhamedov as chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber and a member of the State Security Council. The second – Vice-premier for Transport and Communication Complex Bayramgeldy Ovezov.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the relevant Resolutions “in order to improve the activities of the Cabinet of Ministers, eliminate unnecessary positions in it” today at the meeting of the Government of the country following the results of the six months, the “Vatan” news program of the Turkmen television reported.

Recall that the post of Vice-premier, who was simultaneously the chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber and a member of the State Security Council, was introduced five months ago. Now it has been abolished in connection with the current appointment of Serdar Berdimuhamedov as Vice-premier of Turkmenistan for Economic, Banking and International Financial Organizations.

As reported at an expanded meeting of the Government, the decision to abolish the post of Vice-premier for Transport and Communications is due to the fact that the form of ownership of all institutions, ministries and sectoral departments of the supervised region has been changed, they have been transformed into agencies.

Having voiced his decision, the head of state expressed gratitude to Bayramgeldy Ovezov for the work done.
