Today, as part of a working trip to Lebap velayat, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the “Türkmeniň ak öýi” building, built in the form of a giant white yurt and becoming a new architectural landmark of Turkmenabat, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
This majestic social and cultural facility, which has grown at the intersection of the central city highway Bitarap Turkmenistan and Alty Garlyev Street, was erected in accordance with the relevant Resolution of the leader of the nation, signed in 2018.
Today, there is also a festive atmosphere here. The participants of the celebration greet the head of state with great enthusiasm.
The President of Turkmenistan walks to the building, in front of which a colorful theatrical performance of the united creative teams of the eastern region of the country, where the traditional Week of Culture is taking place this year.
To the friendly applause of those gathered, the leader of the nation, together with honorary elders and representatives of the older generation from five velayats and the capital, cuts the symbolic ribbon, opening a new magnificent object.
The President of Turkmenistan gets acquainted with the design features of the building and the conditions created here for holding various events of national and international importance, festive celebrations.
By all criteria, “Türkmeniň ak öýi”, including the life support system, meets international standards. The building was built using modern building and finishing materials. The interior design is distinguished by originality and pronounced national flavor. When decorating the object, carpet ornaments and decorative elements were used, repeating the lattice frame of Turkmen yurts.
Within the walls of the building there is a large concert hall equipped with acoustic systems and other necessary equipment from well-known world manufacturers. There is also a spacious hall, office and other specialized premises.
In fact, “Türkmeniň ak öýi” is a complex of objects, including a separate room for a garden, an open area for various events, a parking lot, a technical block, etc.
The territory adjacent to the complex is fully landscaped and plated with trees. Many coniferous and decorative trees have been planted here, an access road has been laid.
Upon completion of familiarization with the new building, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the hall where, on the occasion of the significant event, a festive concert of the masters of arts of Turkmenistan took place, during which popular and young artists, creative groups of the country demonstrated their skills and talent in performing songs and dances, choral and folk art.
The audience also enjoyed the performance of the group of national equestrian games “Galkynysh” of the Ahalteke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan.
This collective, which has won recognition and love in our country, is also known far beyond its borders. Over the years, a group of Turkmen riders took part in a number of prestigious international competitions, having received many awards. Demonstrating the perfected skill of horse riding and trick riding, performing exciting acrobatic stunts, the “Galkynysh” group conquered the most demanding foreign audience, as evidenced by its successful foreign tours.
At the end of the concert, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a memorable entry in the Book of Honorary Guests.
Here the leader of the nation was presented with a model of the building “Türkmeniň ak öýi”.
In commemoration of today's event, the President of the country donated a new vehicle to “Türkmeniň ak öýi” built in Lebap velayat.
Then the head of state took part in the festive sadaka, at the end of which the leader of the nation said goodbye to those gathered and left the scene.
On the same day, the President of Turkmenistan returned to Ashgabat.
