There are three livestock farms in Balkan velayat, where the Saraja breed of sheep and camels “Arvana” is bred, the “Neutral Turkmenistan” newspaper reports.

They are distinguished not only by their high productivity, profitability, but also by their endurance in our natural and climatic conditions.

At the beginning of the year, there were about 25 thousand sheep in “Balkan” livestock farm of the Turkmenbashi etrap, the number of which has grown significantly today due to the spring young animals left for breeding.

Soon, new flocks of sheep will be formed from them, belonging by their age categories to the so-called “tokly”. This is facilitated by the strict observance of all the requirements of zoo veterinary medicine, the interest of sheep breeders working on a contractual basis.

As a result, all the flocks of sheep are in average fatness, they feed on pastures on “Ter Sakan” and “Avlamysh” distant pastures.

Unlike others, this etrap has rugged pastures stretching from Chilmammetkum to the Ust-Yurt plateau. The vast expanse of steppe vegetation creates conditions for camel breeding. Such maintenance does not require special investment, which is beneficial to local cattle breeders living in the villages of Kizyl-Kaya, Chagil, Tuar, Koimat, Karaiman of Turkmenbashi etrap.
