Today, on the eve of the National holiday of the Turkmen horse, the Ahalteke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan hosted an awarding ceremony for the winners of the International beauty contest for Ahalteke horses and a competition among representatives of creative professions.
The celebrations were attended by Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of the Halk Maslahaty and Mejlis of Milli Gengesh, military and law enforcement agencies, hyakims of velayats and the city of Ashgabat, heads of ministries and sectoral departments, public organizations, the media, as well as notable horse breeders.
As part of the event, the best Ahalteke horses were donated to the President of Turkmenistan on behalf of the country's horse breeders as a sign of gratitude for the active attention to their work, as well as in honor of the National holiday of the Turkmen horse. The magnificent horses are asked to receive the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber, President of the International Association of Ahalteke Horse Breeding and the International Association “Turkmen Alabay” Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
One by one, the horses are brought to the site from each velayat of the country and the capital. Leaders of all regions, elders and representatives of the younger generation also come out.
So, on behalf of the workers of the Ahal velayat, a beautiful horse Oguzkent was donated, from Balkan velayat - Deniz, Dashoguz velayat - Gyrbedev, Lebap velayat - Koytendag, Mary velayat - Murgap, and from the city of Ashgabat - Akshaher.
Another gift, a horse named Beyikdag, was donated on behalf of the military and law enforcement agencies. On behalf of all horse breeders of the country, the Turkmen leader was presented with a magnificent dun horse Hankerven, born in 2018, a descendant of Hanbegler and Okgyz.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude to the elders of the velayats participating in the celebrations, to all horse breeders who donated magnificent Ahalteke horses to the President of Turkmenistan.
Exploring the good tradition laid down by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, S. Berdimuhamedov tied a traditional amulet – “alaja”, woven by his grandmother - Ogulabat ene, on the neck of a horse named Hankerven.
Then, while riding a horse on a horse track, Serdar Berdimuhamedov tested the horse in different types of gait.
Further, the presenter announced the beginning of the final round of the International Beauty Contest among Ahalteke horses. The purpose of the annual event is to stimulate the development of horse breeding traditions, to attract the attention of the world community to this breed.
Ten best representatives of the Ahalteke breed, selected at the preliminary stages, are taken to the observation deck.
Each of them was twice shown before the judges. The first time without equipment, and the second time - in a full set of horse ornaments, in a carpet blanket and saddled.
In accordance with the rules of the competition, all the horses were presented in order to the jury and to the audience: name, age, pedigree, owner. The horses reached the final, the pedigree of which goes back to the well-known breeding lines.
Numerous admirers of “heavenly” horses were able to appreciate the striking exterior of the descendants of the outstanding Ahalteke horses, who laid the main branches in the selection of this breed.
With a majestic article, the horses demonstrated their external data and training, restraining an ardent temperament, conquering with chiseled lines and ideal proportions.
Then, the names of the winners of the creative competition for the artistic embodiment of the image of the Turkmen horse in works of fine and decorative applied art, in publishing products, photographs and on TV channels, announced among artists, sculptors, carpet weavers, photographers, publishing workers, designers, cameramen, were announced here.
After that, the authoritative panel of judges named the winner of the International beauty contest of Ahalteke horses. The best Ahalteke horse of 2021 was recognized as the bay horse of Aygytly (Resolute) of the Ahalteke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan. Seyis Chary Ballyev, who raised him, was awarded the main prize on behalf of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov - the keys to the Lexus car, a challenge cup and a diploma.
The winners of the competition expressed their gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for such a high assessment of their creativity.
The final part of the celebrations was performances by art masters, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
