An online course on digital diplomacy for young professionals of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan has started today.
The course is being organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) project “Promoting Youth Development for a Successful Future” in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, according to a USAID press release.
This course is designed for four weeks and is focused on the tasks of the ministry to increase the number of qualified specialists in order to further gradually introduce methods of digital diplomacy within the framework of the State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy for the period 2021-2025.
The course was developed by the world's leading experts in the field of diplomacy and is delivered by the British Virtual Academy Global Diplomatic Forum. The training covers the topics of digital and cyber diplomacy, artificial intelligence, cyber security. It provides for a discussion about the changing world order in the digital age.
The USAID project “Promoting Youth Development for a Successful Future” is being implemented in Turkmenistan by JA Worldwide in cooperation with the Union of Economists of Turkmenistan.
The aim of the project is to strengthen the ability of the youth of Turkmenistan to contribute to the local economy and society.
Since 2017, as part of this activity, entrepreneurship skills and work readiness programs have been implemented for more than 3,000 young people from Turkmenistan.
