Topical issues of the socio-economic development of the regions, the course of seasonal agricultural work, as well as the preparation of events for significant dates were considered during a working meeting, which was held today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov using the digital system.

Ya. Gurbanov, hyakim of the Ahal velayat, who spoke the first, reported on the current socio-economic indicators in the region, the provision of cotton sowing in the planned agrotechnical terms and at the proper level, as well as the full use of the agricultural machinery and equipment used, the application of mineral fertilizers and the conduct of vegetative irrigation in the wheat fields.

Along with this, appropriate steps are being taken in order to obtain rich harvests of potatoes and onions. It was noted that the planting of seedlings and caring for them in the framework of the spring planting campaign continued, and issues in the field of silkworm cocoon production were being promptly resolved.

There was also information about the work in livestock farms related to the organized lambing campaign and the camel lambing season, the creation of all conditions for farmers.
In addition, it was reported on the ongoing comprehensive measures to implement the planned work for the current year, outlined in the Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the socio-economic development of the country for 2019-2025 and the National Rural Program.

The hyakim also reported on the steps taken to improve the social and living conditions of the population of the velayat, the construction of various facilities, the commissioning of which is timed to the 30th anniversary of the sacred independence of the Motherland.

After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan demanded to keep under constant control the sowing of cotton and provide the farmers with the necessary resources.

The leader of the nation addressed the hyakim with an order to timely resolve issues in order to maintain high productivity of agricultural machinery and units that are involved in the sowing campaign.

The head of state noted the importance of increasing the pace of work on additional feeding of wheat fields with mineral fertilizers and vegetative irrigation, caring for spring potatoes and onions for the formation of a rich harvest of grain and fruit and vegetable crops this year.

Particular emphasis was placed on fulfilling the planned targets for the production of cocoons and creating conditions for tenants-silkworm breeders.

Along with this, the leader of the nation gave instructions on organizing a mass lambing campaign in livestock farms of the velayat, including obtaining an offspring of a breeding stock, providing lambs and camels with good living conditions. In this direction, livestock breeders should be provided with comprehensive assistance.

The head of state also noted the importance of constant control over the quality of construction on the territory of the velayat, compliance with the schedule for commissioning various facilities, especially timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the independence of the Motherland, having addressed specific instructions to Deputy Chairman E. Orazgeldiev and the velayat hyakim.

The report stated the measures taken on a regular basis to properly address the tasks arising from the National Rural Program, to ensure high quality and meet the deadlines for the construction of social and industrial facilities, which are scheduled for commissioning on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the sacred independence of the country.

Summing up the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the seasonal work deployed in the fields of the region should fully meet the requirements of agricultural technology and be carried out with the application of scientific achievements in practice, taking into account local soil and climatic conditions.

The future harvest of "white gold" depends on the quality of the sowing crop, so it is important to do everything necessary to carry out the sowing of cotton at a high organizational level, the leader of the nation emphasized.

Focusing on a number of other priority tasks, the Turkmen leader noted that it is necessary to take a responsible approach to the issues of high-quality care of crops of winter cereals, vegetable and melon crops, potatoes, etc.

A separate order related to the completion of the spring planting of tree seedlings on schedule, which is designed to ensure the ecological well-being of the region and enrich the Turkmen nature.

The leader of the nation demanded to provide the silkworm tenants with everything necessary for the successful fulfillment of their contractual obligations for the production of cocoons.

“In the livestock farms of the velayat, it is necessary to conduct a campaign to obtain the offspring of sheep and camels at the proper level,” said the leader of the nation, instructing the hyakim to create all conditions for the workers of this industry.

Focusing again on the importance of timely and high-quality organization of seasonal agricultural work in the region in accordance with agrotechnical standards, the head of state addressed a number of specific instructions to Deputy Chairman E. Orazgeldiev and the hyakim.
