The Parliament of Turkmenistan has adopted a number of new laws

The twelfth session of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the sixth convocation was held in Ashgabat, where deputies considered the draft laws "on approval and implementation of the Administrative procedure code of Turkmenistan", "on Milli Genesh of Turkmenistan" ("on the National Council of Turkmenistan"), "on the consular service" and a number of others.

As noted during the discussion of these legal documents, their main tasks are to protect the rights and legitimate interests of citizens, as well as to promote the further democratization of society and respect the interests of the state.

Thus, the Administrative procedure code of Turkmenistan, aimed at strengthening the rights and freedoms of citizens and regulating the legal order in the country, establishes the procedure for legal proceedings in disputes arising from public legal relations, procedural principles and rules for their consideration and resolution in court.

In connection with the adoption of the constitutional law "on amendments and additions to the Constitution of Turkmenistan", a draft law "on Milli Genesh of Turkmenistan" has been developed. As noted, this document defines the organization and structure of this representative legislative body, the working procedure of its chambers and their bureaus, committees and commissions, members and deputies, their functions and powers.

The deputies drew attention to the importance of organizing the work of the Milli genesh, which is called, in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan and the decisions adopted at the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council), to exercise legislative power in the country.

During the discussion of the draft law of Turkmenistan "on the consular service", it was emphasized that this document defines the legal basis of this structure, the functions of consular officials to protect the rights and interests of Turkmenistan, its citizens and legal entities outside of our country.

The consular service is charged with protecting the rights and interests of our citizens and legal entities outside of our country, ensuring the relevant international relations of Turkmenistan, promoting friendly relations and cooperation with foreign States and international organizations, expanding economic, trade, scientific, technical, cultural and humanitarian ties.

In addition, the Service's tasks include analysis of the development of our country's consular relations with other States, assistance to ministries, departments, institutions and organizations in establishing and developing business relations with partners abroad, dissemination of information about the state policy of Turkmenistan, its socio-economic and cultural life, participation in the formation of the legal framework of our country's consular relations with foreign States, etc.

The deputies also considered draft laws "on amendments to the Civil procedure code of Turkmenistan", " on invalidation of the constitutional Law of Turkmenistan "on Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan", "on amendments and additions to certain legislative acts of Turkmenistan", "on amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan" on currency regulation and currency control in foreign economic relations", " on amendments and amendments to the Tax code of Turkmenistan», "On amendments to the Law of Turkmenistan "On denationalization and privatization of state property", "On introducing additions and amendments to the Code of Turkmenistan "On land", "On amendments and additions to the Law of Turkmenistan "On migration service", "On amendments and additions to the Electoral code of Turkmenistan", "On introducing additions and changes into the Law of Turkmenistan "On local representative bodies of state power."

At the same time, the draft Resolutions of the Mejlis "on accession to the Nagoya Protocol regulating access to genetic resources and fair and equal sharing of benefits from their application to the Convention on biological diversity", "on ratification of the Agreement between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation on security cooperation", "on accession to the International Convention on simplification and harmonization of customs procedures" were considered.

The draft legislative acts submitted for consideration by the parliamentarians were approve and adopted, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
