The issue of attracting private financing to support economic recovery after the pandemic was put on the agenda of a meeting held today at the Ministry of Finance and economy of Turkmenistan in the format of a video conference between representatives of the Caucasus and Central Asia and the International Monetary Fund.

It was emphasized that the current crisis has had a negative impact on the development of the region, and state governments have adopted specific economic policy responses to protect vulnerable segments of the population and industries. During the exchange of views, emphasis was placed on the importance of preserving the ability of countries to invest for priority expenditures.

Noting the urgency of implementing reforms aimed at developing private sources of financing to support economic recovery, the participants of the meeting spoke in favor of further strengthening cooperation, the State news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
