The presentation of the XII volume of the encyclopedic work of the President, academician of the Academy of Sciences of the country, doctor of medical Sciences, Professor Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan" was held today at the Ministry of health and medical industry.
The ceremony was attended by heads and leading specialists of the Ministry of health and medical industry and its specialized institutions, representatives of a number of other ministries and industry departments, public organizations and mass media, as well as students.
In their speeches, the audience emphasized the special significance of the new volume, which is a continuation of the fundamental scientific work that President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov started working on in 2009.
As noted, the book "Medicinal plants of Turkmenistan", which is an encyclopedia of the plant world of our country, has become over the years a Handbook on herbal medicine not only for Turkmen pharmacologists and doctors, but also for many foreign specialists who have the opportunity to get acquainted with it through translations into many languages. On the pages of the publication you can find a detailed description of the healing properties of medicinal plants growing in the country, including endemics, and their use in scientific and folk medicine.
The next volume of the scientific work of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, as well as the previous ones, already translated into many languages of the world, was published in mass circulation. The publication is provided with photo illustrations, a Russian-Latin-Turkmen dictionary of plant names and a calendar for collecting medicinal raw materials.
