A meeting of the government Commission to study issues related to Turkmenistan's accession to the world trade organization (WTO) was held today via videoconference.
The world trade organization delegation was led by Mayka Oshikawa, Director of the WTO accession Department.
During the videoconference, all the points of the draft "joint action plan" on Turkmenistan's interaction with the WTO were discussed in detail and the aspect related to its adoption was considered.
The sides also exchanged views on the draft action plan for the development of a Memorandum on the foreign trade regime of Turkmenistan, prepared as part of the technical support of the Asian Development Bank.
The Turkmen side also proposed to organize a round table on Turkmenistan's status as an observer in the WTO in the near future, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
