President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the independence day of Turkmenistan.
"On behalf of the people of France and myself, I Express My sincere congratulations on the occasion of the national holiday of Turkmenistan – independence day.
I am very happy to note that relations between our countries continue to develop actively in the political, cultural and economic fields.
Thus, the fourth session of bilateral political consultations held in June provided an opportunity to present an overview of all areas of mutual cooperation, as well as to organize in August the first exchange of experience between the Pasteur Institute, a leading French organization in the field of medical research, and the Ministry of health and medical industry of Turkmenistan.
In the strategic water sector, relations were established in July between the French Bureau of geological and mining research and the state water management Committee of Turkmenistan. I am also glad that the relations between the French Institute of horse breeding and riding and the state Association "Türkmen atlary" received a new impetus in May.
I would also like to note that the French companies that You trust are taking all measures to fulfill the tasks assigned to them.
I hope that this year's celebration of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, which France has consistently supported since the adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution of December 12, 1995, will be marked by a deepening of our cooperation, in particular in the field of archeology and space.
Please accept, Mr. President, the assurances of my very high respect for you," reads the message of congratulations published today in the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".
