The editorial office of "Turkmenportal" received questions from readers related to the speed of vehicles and the threshold for exceeding the speed limit. We have consulted a lawyer on this issue.

The lawyer explained that the administrative code remains unchanged. The non-fined threshold is still 10 km / h.

The law of Turkmenistan "on amendments and additions to the Code of administrative offences of Turkmenistan" entered into force from the date of its official publication – December 13, 2019 and is still in force today.

According to article 214 of part 1 Of the code of administrative offences of Turkmenistan, exceeding the set speed by drivers of vehicles by no more than 10 kilometers per hour – entails a warning.

For example, if a car driver sees a "60 km/h" sign and is moving at 70 km / h, they will be warned at 60 km / h. A driver moving at a speed of 71 km / h will be fined 50 (fifty) manats.

At the same time, according to article 43 Of the code of administrative offences of Turkmenistan, a warning as a type of administrative penalty is a measure of official reminding individuals and legal entities of the inadmissibility of illegal actions. A warning is issued in writing, but if the administrative offense committed is insignificant, as well as in cases provided for by this Code, it may also be issued orally.

Therefore, we advise drivers of vehicles to strictly observe the speed limit. After all, the Rules of the road are the rules of life!
