General contractor - concern "Turkmenenergyconstruction" started the construction of reinforced concrete bases of the transmission line Akhal-Balkan and Balkan-Dashoguz. At the same time, construction of the Serdar-220 electric substation was started, "Turkmenistan: The Golden age" reports.
The customer-the state electric power Corporation "Turkmenenergyconstruction" - with the help of a soft loan provided by the Asian Development Bank, signed contracts and purchased equipment, materials and vehicles necessary for the construction of high-voltage power lines and stations.
As the concern's specialists explained, to speed up the work, the entire route will be divided into several segments, where the contractor's divisions will simultaneously start installing high-voltage poles and installing transmission lines.
The project provides for the installation of power transformers, switches, disconnectors, relay protection and automation – equipment manufactured according to European standards.
The Turkish company Çalik Enerji will install telemechanic, communications and SCADA systems for high-voltage power lines and stations.
The first section will be 450 kilometers long. In addition, 560 kilometers of overhead power lines with a voltage of 500 kV will be laid, two substations with a voltage of 500/220/110 kV and two with a voltage of 220/110 kV will be put into operation.
