Consultations were held today between the Minister of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Abdul Latif bin Rashid al-Zayani. The meeting was held in the format of a videoconference, the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
The importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties was noted. The Ministers paid special attention to the practical implementation of the agreements reached earlier at a high level.
They also discussed the regional agenda and the consolidation of efforts of the two friendly countries aimed at a comprehensive fight against the coronavirus pandemic. In this context, the parties noted the relevance of the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan to create a Council of medical scientists and use effective methods of scientific diplomacy.
Attention was paid to the role of joint business forums, the development of cooperation in the energy and gas chemical industry. The possibility of holding online meetings between representatives of various public and private structures of the two countries was considered.
