Culture week has started in Turkmenistan

Today, the culture Week started in Dashoguz velayat under the motto "Turkmenistan is the homeland of Neutrality", which will last until June 27.

The week is aimed at popularizing the culture and spiritual values of the Turkmen people. It will be attended by cultural figures, dance groups, recognized bakshi, the best performers of novels and folk songs, famous pop singers, professional artists, young artists, artists, poets, writers, masters of decorative and applied crafts.

The program of the Week of culture, which is rich in various events, includes song and music performances, new folk and choreographic compositions, performances of famous pop singers, bakshi, and the best students of children's art schools.

Exhibitions of folk crafts, books and printed publications will also be organized, as well as Museum expositions.

It is planned to hold conferences, literary evenings, film screenings, new theater productions, excursions to get acquainted with unique historical monuments. The main venue for bright and colorful song and music performances will be Gorogly square in the center of Dashoguz.

Performances of children's creative teams will take place in a picturesque place – the square of solemn events of the Youth lake. A literary evening with the participation of poets will be held on the square next to the monument to Makhtumkuli.

As part of the culture Week, a new performance based on the epic "Gorogly" will be premiered by the troupe of artists of the Dashoguz velayat state musical and drama theater named after Nurmuhammet Andalib.

A song and music center and a Park area located in the South-Western part of the administrative center, as well as rural houses of culture, have been prepared for various cultural events.

In the Ruhubelent etrap, performances of recognized bakshi, the successors of the recognized art, will take place on the stage next to the monument to Ashik Aydin PIR and the sculpture monument "Dutar". Today, the name of the legendary patron of bakshi and musicians Ashik Aydin PIR is not only on the lips of many of our compatriots, but also well known outside the country. His unsurpassed qualities as a musician and sage are described in the famous heroic epic "Gorogly", included in the representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO. Holding a creative event next to the “Ashik Aydin Pir” mausoleum will embody the special love of Turkmens for music, honoring the ancient traditions of the national song and music art.

Large-scale culture Week will be a celebration of friendship and inspiration, to provide opportunities for exchange of experiences, uncover new facets of creativity, will give impetus to further development of the national culture and arts, promote the rich spiritual heritage of the Turkmen people, the newspaper "Neutral Turkmenistan".
