Since May 28, the European Bank for reconstruction and development (EBRD) has launched an online program “anti-Crisis know-how” to help micro, small and medium-sized enterprises facing the economic consequences of the coronavirus pandemic.

Small private businesses are vital to the economy in the Bank's countries of operation. In collaboration with partner banks and business support associations, the EBRD expects to roll out the program in 30 countries, reaching more than 10,000 small business representatives and offering them training resources, access to new knowledge and expert advice for the coming months.

This program, published on the online platform of the EBRD "Academy of know-how", is a single educational resource where entrepreneurs can get acquainted with training materials, get expert advice on financial resource management, relations with suppliers and personnel in a crisis situation, as well as participate in professional discussion forums.

The single resource will also contain country-specific information on financial support that can be obtained from the government and banks in the 30 countries of operation of the EBRD.

The program has five main thematic sections:

  1.  Crisis management: your customers and suppliers;
  2.  Crisis management: fundamentals of financial management;
  3.  Crisis management: how to Finance your company;
  4.  Crisis management: your staff is your main asset;
  5.  Crisis management: problems of management and leadership.

The module "Crisis management: your customers and suppliers" will help you learn how to maintain a functioning logistics chain and revenue flow. It will be available for use today, and the other four modules will follow.

All information and resources are available in Arabic, English, Russian, Turkish and Ukrainian.
