The business center of the UIET solemnly marked the fifth anniversary of the membership of the national organization of Turkmenistan for barcodes (NOTB) in the International structure for the creation and implementation of unified GS1 standards.
The President of GS1, Miguel Lopera, sent his welcome message to the members of the organization, noting the importance of GS1 Turkmenistan's activities in the context of global efforts to implement common international standards and the presence of Turkmen producers on the world market.
At the forum, the reports on the work done by the Chairman of the GS1 Turkmenistan NOTB A. Myalikgulyeva and the control and audit Commission were announced.
Recall that in May 2015, the national organization of Turkmenistan for barcodes became a full member of the European branch of the International Association for the creation and implementation of unified standards GS1. Turkmenistan was assigned the corresponding country code "483".
Thanks to the activities of GS1 Turkmenistan, many organizations and enterprises in the country, including private entities, have become available to a modern identification system, which is a key factor in the development of trade integration processes.
Currently, GS1 Turkmenistan has more than 1,500 members, and its services are used by hundreds of public and private sector enterprises, individual entrepreneurs, who are provided with a set of high-quality services that contribute to the implementation of global standards.
Today, more than a hundred domestic producers have entered the world markets, adequately representing the opportunities of Turkmenistan in various sectors of the economy, the website of the UIET reports.
