The Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan announces the extension of validity of temporary residence permits (TRPs) and residence permits (RP) in the Russian Federation. From March 15 to June 15 inclusive, the following events are suspended:
- terms of temporary or permanent residence of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation, as well as the validity of the relevant visas (only for foreigners who are in Russia);
- the duration of stay outside the Russian Federation of persons who have received a temporary residence permit or residence permit in Russia, participants in the state Program to assist in the voluntary relocation of compatriots living abroad to the Russian Federation.
This measure was adopted on the basis of presidential Decree No. 274 of April 18, 2020 "on temporary measures to regulate the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation due to the threat of further spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19)".
