Several events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory will be held in Turkmenistan with the assistance of “Russian cooperation”, representative of “Russian cooperation”, head of the Department of education, science and culture of the Russian Embassy in Turkmenistan Yevgeniy Beloglazov told RIA News.
In particular, these are:
- exhibition of the artist, participant of the great Patriotic war and honored artist of the Turkmen SSR Gennady Babikov (1911-1993);
- open screening of a series of films about the great Patriotic war;
- conducting a joint concert " Victory. One for all" with the participation of the state Symphony orchestra and the state choir of Turkmenistan;
- organizing an exhibition of photographic materials and documents "we were together in the fight against Nazism",
Thus, as part of the film screening, Turkmen citizens will be offered both old Soviet films about the war, and modern Russian films - "Cry of silence" and "T-34".
From the photo exhibition “We were together in the fight against Nazism", visitors will be able to learn that 15% of the population of the Republic went to the front - 180 thousand out of 1.2 million. 70 thousand of them received orders and medals, and 78 people became Heroes of the Soviet Union.
