On the eve of the national holiday of the Turkmen horse, a new racing season was launched in the Lebap equestrian complex. This event was preceded by a lot of preparatory work, which included the reconstruction and improvement of the complex's facilities – the main building with a conference hall, spectator stands, racetracks, stables. The surrounding area is planted with trees and flowerbeds.
Before the start of the race, famous pop artists, bakhshi, dance and folk groups performed a concert program dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the international Association of Akhal-Teke horse breeding and the 25th anniversary of the neutrality of Turkmenistan. The athletes demonstrated their skills.
The festival brought together horse breeders from Ashgabat and all velayats, as well as numerous guests. According to the program, 8 races were held.
In the first of them, young riders from all regions of the country took the starting position. The winner among three-year-olds was the stallion “Dashgala” from the Akhal-Teke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan.
Then riders from velayats and the city of Ashgabat participated in each of the next six races.
First among horses of the Akhal velayat to finish came “Gulyali” of peasant Association Garashsyzlyk Baherden district, among the horses of the Balkan province horse “Yetmek” velayat police Department, among the horses in the Dashoguz velayat – horse “Gardashim” velayat police Department.
Among the horses Lebap province – horse “Keymir” velayat police Department, among the horses of Mary velayat – horse “Edepli” of the municipal administration of the province, among the horses of the city of Ashgabat – a horse “Gulyaka” of the Prosecutor General of Turkmenistan.
In the final, eighth round of the race, riders-mentors from all regions of the country took part. The first crossed the finish line Tachmyrat Dovulbayev on a horse “Perhat” of Dashoguz equestrian center. The winner was awarded a car established by the Order of the President of Turkmenistan for the best senior rider in honor of the national holiday of the Turkmen horse.
The other winners of the festive competitions were also awarded valuable prizes in a solemn atmosphere.
At the end of the race, a festive meeting was held in the Lebap equestrian complex with the participation of representatives of the state Association "Türkmen atlary", the hakims’ center of the Lebap velayat and the country's creative intelligentsia, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
