The working meeting was held today by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov with the participation of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev, who oversees the agro-industrial complex, and Minister of agriculture and environmental protection Magtymguly Bayramdurdiyev.

After hearing the report and emphasizing the importance of steady implementation of state programs, primarily aimed at transforming the agro-industrial complex, the head of state stressed that the key task of the current stage is to increase the pace of work in this direction. This will help improve the living conditions of the rural population and increase the volume of agricultural products grown.

The Turkmen leader ordered to strengthen control over the progress of reforms in this area and ensure the smooth transition of the agro-industrial complex to an innovative development path. Special importance should be attached to the wide implementation of scientific achievements in production, which can increase soil fertility, as well as to the timely implementation of all necessary agro technical measures for the care of crops, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed.

Then the Minister of agriculture and environmental protection M. Bayramdurdiyev reported on the steps taken to accelerate the development of the industry and strengthen its material and technical base.

At the end of the meeting, the President touched upon the upcoming national holiday of the Turkmen horse, which is widely celebrated every year on the last Sunday of April. As you know, this year the international Association of Akhal-Teke horse breeding is 10 years old.

The activity of this largest structure is of great importance for popularizing and increasing the world fame of the legendary Turkmen horses, which are the pride of our people. In this regard, the head of state instructed to organize and hold the upcoming festive events at a high level.
