As we reported earlier, "Turkmenlogistics" has developed a special temporary Regulation on the movement of export, import and transit cargo on the territory of Turkmenistan, which was introduced on March 24.

According to the Regulation, goods arriving by car through the customs checkpoints "Garabogaz" and "Farap" and following further on the territory of Turkmenistan will be transported by Turkmen cargo carriers. At the same time, the transfer of goods delivered in trailers or semi-trailers will be carried out in non-contact conditions at the state border in certain places, the Embassy of Belarus in Turkmenistan reports, referring to the Turkmen foreign Ministry.

Foreign car trailers or semi-trailers that were delivered to the port of Turkmenbashi before March 23, 2020 (inclusive), can be left in designated areas on the territory of the international seaport of Turkmenbashi, so that they can be delivered to the territory of Turkmenistan by local cargo carriers in the future. Owners of foreign vehicles must ensure that they are returned together with the drivers back by sea.

Also, starting from March 24, all types of cargo that will arrive at the international seaport of Turkmenbashi should be loaded in trailers and semi-trailers to sea vessels and sent without accompanying individuals and without motor transport.

All foreign carriers are recommended to transport cargo in containers and railway wagons, combining types of transport - sea and land.

These transport measures are applied temporarily to prevent the penetration and spread of the COVID-19 virus on the territory of the country, while ensuring the effective operation of international transport and transit corridors passing through the territory of Turkmenistan.
