Russia lifted the ban on entry of Turkmen citizens and other citizens of CIS countries. The corresponding Order was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The document States that the provision of paragraph 1 of the corresponding Order of March 16, 2020 on restricting entry for foreigners does not apply to citizens of the CIS countries. The FSS is instructed to allow such citizens to pass through the territory of the Russian Federation.
The order also notes that the Russian Foreign Ministry must ensure the necessary interaction with the diplomatic missions of the relevant States, and “Federal service for supervision of consumer protection and human welfare” – sanitary control.
Earlier, in accordance with the Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation dated March 16, 2020 "in order to ensure state security, protect public health and non-proliferation of new coronavirus infection", Russia temporarily restricted the entry of foreign citizens and stateless persons from March 18 to May 1.
