The foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting of participants of the international forum

As a continuation of the international conference "Turkmenistan and international organizations: cooperation for peace and development", a meeting was organized for the participants at the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

Representatives of international organizations took part in the meeting – The United Nations development program (UNDP), the Children's Fund (UNICEF), the world Bank, the Asian development Bank (ADB), European Bank for reconstruction and development (EBRD), the UN Conference on trade and development (UNCTAD), Food and agriculture organization (FAO), United Nations industrial development organization (UNIDO), the UN Fund for population (UNFPA), the International organization for migration (IOM), World health organization (WHO), the European Union, the Organization for security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE), as well as heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan, heads and specialists of a number of departments of our country, public organizations, and mass media.

The participants expressed their gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his contribution to expanding the fruitful partnership and constructive initiatives aimed at solving topical issues on the global agenda.

They noted the high level of bilateral and multilateral cooperation and the great potential for its activation. The UN office in Ashgabat currently cooperates with government agencies, educational institutions, public organizations and the media.

Speaking about the importance of the work carried out, the speakers noted the positive results of the consolidated efforts of the parties. Among them are the implementation of the sustainable development Agenda for the period up to 2030, the development and implementation of mechanisms for diversifying the country's economy, ensuring regional and global energy and environmental security, a sustainable transport system, protecting human rights, and countering terrorism, illegal trafficking in weapons and drugs, and human trafficking.

At the end of the meeting, the participants adopted an address to UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, which reflects their mutual commitment to constructive cooperation, the state news Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
