Starting from January 1, 2020, the customs authorities of Turkmenistan fully switched to full-scale electronic customs Declaration in “ASYCUDA World”, the official website of the State customs service of Turkmenistan reports.
In 2019, the state customs service of Turkmenistan and the UN Conference on trade and development (UNCTAD) signed a project agreement on technical cooperation for the implementation of the integrated information system “ASYCUDA World”. The purpose of this agreement is to form an integrated customs information system of the State customs service of Turkmenistan.
The software "ASYCUDA World" (Automated system for customs data) — an information system developed by UNCTAD — simplifies the verification of documents at customs. The system allows you to reduce up to 14 times the time that usually goes to the clearance of goods. Currently, "ASYCUDA World " is used by customs authorities in more than 90 countries.
