A meeting of the Commission on economic issues under the CIS Economic Council was held in Moscow. It was attended by representatives of the CIS sectoral cooperation bodies, Executive officers of the CIS Executive Committee. The meeting was chaired by the representative of Turkmenistan Serdar Durdyev, the press service of the CIS Executive Committee reports.
During the meeting were discussed issues "About the Priority directions of cooperation of States – participants of CIS in the transport sector for the period until 2030", "On the draft action Plan to implement the Concept of coordinated social and demographic policy of the States participants of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the years 2020-2023" heard reports "On implementation of the Protocol on international roads of the Commonwealth of Independent States on 11 September 1998, On implementation in the 2016-2017 program of cooperation of the States – of the CIS member States on prevention and treatment of diabetes mellitus for 2016-2020", "on the activities of the intergovernmental Council on forestry and forestry in 2017-2019", "on the activities of the basic organization of the CIS member States on interstate exchange of scientific and technical information", "on the activities of the basic organization for training customs personnel of the CIS member States", "on the supervision of auditors and audit organizations conducting mandatory audits in the CIS member States", " on – CIS member States", "on the development of the insurance market in the CIS member States in 2018", "on the state of archival Affairs in the CIS member States in 2015-2018", as well as approved the draft Joint action plan of the CIS Executive Committee, the Council of permanent Plenipotentiaries – members of the Commonwealth under the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth and the Commission on economic Affairs under the economic Council of the CIS on the implementation of decisions of the Council of heads of state (October 11, 2019), the Council of heads of government (October 25, 2019), the Council of foreign Ministers of the CIS (October 10, 2019) and proposals made by heads of delegations during these meetings.
Summing up the results of the year, the meeting participants highly appreciated the results of the implementation of the economic agenda of Turkmenistan's chairmanship in the CIS. Charge d'affaires of Turkmenistan in the Russian Federation Serdar Durdyev noted that the work of the Commission during this period ensured the preparation, coordination and submission to the Supreme bodies of the Commonwealth of a set of documents on topical issues of economic integration. Deputy Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Sergey Ivanov thanked the members of the Commission and the Chairman for the fruitful work in 2019.
Next year will be the year of Uzbekistan's chairmanship in the CIS, and the next meeting of the Commission on economic issues will be held on January 17, 2020 at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Moscow.
