On November 19, the premiere of the Pagliacci opera was held in Ashgabat with great success, which was a joint Turkmen-Italian work. The musical accompaniment of the opera was entrusted to the state symphony orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Rasul Klychev. For the young conductor, this work also became a certain milestone in both his work and the entire team of musicians. Chief conductor of the orchestra Rasul Klychev spoke about his impressions in an interview with the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper.
– For us, this is a very important step, the first experience of working with classical material. In the original language, where it was necessary to withstand all the traditions that come from the European performance of opera. In addition, the Leoncavallo music is technically complicated embodying the anxiety, that is a state of mind the composer's life at that point in time. The orchestra should convey this sentiment, because it affects true revelation of the characters. Therefore, the success of the whole opera, I can say with confidence that the work in this joint project is extremely interesting for all of us. Our collaboration produced miraculous interpenetration of cultures, which gives invaluable experience and raises professionalism to the higher levels.
