Briefing on the first Caspian Economic Forum held in Geneva

The permanent mission of Turkmenistan in Geneva organized a briefing on the first Caspian economic forum, which will be held in Turkmenistan on August 12, the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

During the briefing, the participants got acquainted with the activities for the preparation and holding of the first Caspian Economic Forum, they were shown a video about the economic potential of the Avaza National Tourist Zone. At the briefing, it was noted that the first forum of such a scale within the framework of the world's largest region, such as the Caspian basin, was initiated by the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during the IV Summit of the heads of Caspian States, which was held in Astrakhan, Russian Federation, on September 30, 2014.

In their speeches, Ambassadors, Permanent representatives of the Caspian countries noted the importance of holding such a forum, familiarized with the economic projects carried out in their countries in the field of transport, logistics, energy, aviation, maritime transport, which would eventually contribute to the strengthening and expansion of economic relations between the countries.
