How to correctly collect everything you need for the new school year at school and not spend too much

Almost every parent faced at the end of the summer with the task of collecting the child for school. It is not enough to buy notebooks and pens and purchase a school uniform - a student will need a lot of other supplies during his studies, and it is best to buy everything you need in advance, and not on the last day, when shops and shopping centers are crowded with parents who, for various reasons, put off buying school supplies for the very last moment.

Before starting a run to shops and school markets, you should audit the things left over from the last school year: perhaps among them you can find something that can be used further. Among such things are an old set of pencils, erasers, fabric pencil cases, incompletely written notebooks. And if you are lucky, then last year's backpack, which has not lost its appearance, may well continue to be used for its intended purpose. It is enough to sharpen old pencils, clean the erasers, wash the pencil case and backpack or clean it with a sponge. Unfinished notebooks can be used as drafts. During the school year, you still have to buy something from the above, but it is quite possible to reduce the number of purchases, and therefore save.

In a pile of things bought by the beginning of the last school year, there may be those that were never needed. With a high degree of probability, they will not be useful in the new year.

Some of the essential stationery items include:

  • lined and caged notebooks;
  • writing accessories (pens, pencils, felt-tip pens, etc.);
  • erasers, pencil case, sharpener, scissors, glue ("pencil", clerical, PVA);
  • a straight ruler and a square with a protractor;
  • diary;
  • an album for drawing, a set of colored paper, plasticine, paints (for elementary grades).

Covers for notebooks, diaries and textbooks will also be useful.

Next is to make a list of those things that you still have to purchase. In the first place is usually the school uniform. Children grow up quickly, and last year's uniform is likely to be too small. You can purchase ready-made kits, or you can order their tailoring. If the choice is made in favor of a custom-made shape, you should carefully consider the choice of fabric. Synthetics “do not breathe”, electrify and can cause irritation on the skin. Natural fabrics are much more pleasant for the body, but often wrinkle a lot and dry longer, so it is best to sew uniforms from mixed fabrics - they combine the best qualities of synthetic and natural threads.

No less important than uniforms are school shoes. Even if a child still fits into last year's shoes, there is no guarantee that he will be able to walk in them before the end of the year. When choosing shoes for school, you should pay attention to the sole. The floors in school corridors are usually slippery, so the child needs shoes with corrugated soles, on a smooth one he is constantly at risk of slipping and falling. Sports footwear should be such that it can be easily washed or cleaned.

Both clothes and shoes should not be purchased at the very beginning of the holidays, in advance. Over the summer, a child can grow so dramatically that he will not be able to fit into a new set of school uniforms or shoes and the money will be wasted.

Also, the attempt to stock up on everything and immediately for the whole year in advance does not contribute to savings. If the supply of notebooks or pens with pencils suddenly runs out, you can always buy them in the right amount during the year, and sometimes even at better prices.

A good backpack can last for several years, so you should also be careful when buying it. If you bring a child to school by car and pick it up from school in the same way, he practically does not have to carry a backpack himself. In this case, you can take a normal, good quality backpack. And if a child gets to and from school on his own and drags a backpack on his back, then in order not to spoil his posture from childhood, it is better to take a lighter backpack, with wide and soft straps and an orthopedic back.

Stationery stores often offer beautiful and, at first glance, necessary things, which, upon closer examination, turn out to be rather useless. At school, a child is unlikely to need them, and they will take up a lot of space in a backpack or on a shelf at home. Such useless purchases can be safely attributed to a globe, which is best replaced with a regular wall map.

When buying clothes, shoes and school supplies, try not to skimp on quality. This does not mean that you need to grab everything that is most expensive, but most often the cheapest is also the most short-lived. Cheap low-quality things will last much less and you still have to spend money on buying a replacement.

In Turkmenistan, school bazaars, which open in August, are at the service of parents of school-age children, where you can buy everything (or almost everything) necessary for study. These bazaars offer a wide range of school uniforms and shoes from Turkmen manufacturers in various price categories.
