For the most part, people focus on themselves, their own successes, material wealth, and as a rule, we do not care about the world around us. Documentaries are a great opportunity to look at the world around us, feel the fragility of nature and realize the value of every living creature on Earth.

Introducing 10 documentaries about nature:

“The Year that Changed the Planet” (2021). One of the pioneers of nature documentaries, British naturalist David Attenborough showed how forced isolation of people positively affected nature and the environment using the example of coronavirus restrictions. In just a few months, the smog disappeared in the cities, and the whales began to communicate with each other, because the noise of steamboats disappeared.

“Salt of the Earth” (2015). The picture of the German film director Wim Wenders tells about the work of the greatest photojournalist of our time, Sebastian Salgado. For 40 years, the Brazilian photographer traveled the world and over the years became an eyewitness to significant events in modern history: famine, warriors, migrations.
