Turkmenistan's “Ashgabat” football club has begun a 10-day training camp in the United Arab Emirates. The team is preparing for the third round of the national championship under the leadership of new head coach Tofik Shukurov, who recently replaced Said Seyidov.
The training camp in the UAE will be a key stage in “Ashgabat's” preparation for the resumption of the Turkmenistan Championship. The third round of the tournament starts on August 16, and in the first match “Ashgabat” will meet “Kopetdag”.
“Ashgabat” currently sits sixth in the league table with 16 points. The new coaching staff will have to work to improve the team's results in the second half of the season.
