A meeting was held in Astrakhan with the head of the Caspian Institute of Maritime and River Transport (CIMRT) named after Admiral General F.M. Apraksin Olga Kartashova with the Consul of Turkmenistan Gadam Ilamanov. The meeting was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan Region, Vladimir Golovkov.
As the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan region reported, the main topic of discussion was the training of specialists for sea and river transport of Turkmenistan on the basis of CIMRT. The parties considered the possibilities of expanding cooperation in the field of higher and secondary education, as well as increasing the number of Turkmen students at the Caspian Institute.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to hold a video conference with the participation of representatives of the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan.
