On the eve of International Children’s Day, an exhibition of works by students of the Bashim Nurali Children’s Art School opened at the Fine Arts Exhibition Center in Ashgabat.
As the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports, visitors to the exhibition will see 400 works of art, which occupied the second floor of the exhibition center.
The children's art school named after Bashim Nurali was opened in Ashgabat in 1958. At that time, 11 children were studying in one painting department. After 12 years, the school was named after Bashim Nurali.
Today, more than 300 young talents are studying here in the painting, sculpture, jewelry and carpet departments.
The director of the Children’s Art School Ovezgeldi Danatarovich Yazmuradov noted in his speech:
- Presenting their works at the Center, where exhibitions of works by famous Turkmen artists are held, is a great honor for the students of our school. The children prepared for this event throughout the school year, and teachers selected the best works of their students. National style, originality, any performance technique and unlimited themes were welcomed. The children’s achievements, which we can certainly be proud of, are presented in all types of fine arts.
The source notes that there were many art school graduates from different years at the exhibition. Meetings with classmates and teachers were especially pleasant for them. Many graduates surrounded Lyudmila Pavlovna Ulakina, the oldest teacher, whose teaching experience at the school is 49 years.
