A Turkmen-Japanese business forum was held in Tokyo, at which representatives of the two countries discussed the possibility of opening a trade mission of Turkmenistan in Japan, reports the press service of the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan.
The event was held in the building of the Japan External Trade Development Organization (JETRO) with the participation of more than 130 representatives of business circles of Turkmenistan and Japan.
The head of JETRO Norihiko Ishiguro, the State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan Ryosuke Kozuki, as well as the executive director of the Turkmen-Japanese Joint Committee Masumi Hara spoke at the forum.
They highly appreciated trade and economic relations between the countries and noted the growing interest of Japanese business in the Turkmen market.
The Turkmen side emphasized its readiness for full cooperation with Japan. It was proposed to study the possibility of opening a trade mission of Turkmenistan in Tokyo, as well as consider the issue of opening a JETRO representative office in Ashgabat.
To get acquainted with the export potential of Turkmenistan, a special video was shown to the participants. Proposals were made for organizing business conferences, exhibitions and business visits between countries. Japanese entrepreneurs were invited to hold the next Turkmen-Japanese business forum in Ashgabat.
