Hyundai Engineering becomes a silver partner of TEIF-2024

Active preparations for the next Turkmen Energy Investment Forum TEIF 2024 are underway. This year's event will be held on 24-25 April in Paris, France. The organizers of the forum are the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit” in partnership with “Turkmen Forum” and UK-based GaffneyCline.

The mail goal of the upcoming Investment Forum in Paris is to attract foreign direct investment in all aspects of the oil and gas, energy, construction, transport and communication sectors of Turkmenistan's economy.

To date, more than 100 international delegates have already registered to attend the Paris Forum. Confirmed high-level speakers include Haitham al-Ghais - Secretary General of OPEC; Tatiana Molchean - UN Deputy Secretary General and Executive Secretary of UNECE; Tim Gould - Chief Energy Economist at the International Energy Agency (IEA); Constance Chalchat - Director of BNP Paribas and many other senior executives from leading international energy, construction and transportation companies and financial institutions.

Since its establishment in 1974, Hyundai Engineering has grown into a global engineering company providing engineering solutions in various fields not only in Korea but also around the world. Hyundai Engineering has been operating in Turkmenistan for more than 10 years and during this time several major joint projects have been implemented. In particular, in 2013, a gas desulfurization unit was built at the Galkynysh gas field; within the framework of cooperation with LX International Corporation, Hyundai Engineering launched several new technological units at the Turkmenbashy complex of oil refineries.

In 2018, in cooperation with LX International Corporation and TOYO Engineering Corporation, Hyundai Engineering completed the construction of a gas chemical complex to produce 386,000 tons of high-pressure polyethylene and 81,000 tons of polypropylene per year. These products are produced on the basis of advanced and environmentally friendly technologies. The construction was carried out in Kiyanly settlement, in the west of Turkmenistan.

During the design phase of the Kiyanly Complex, Hyundai Engineering received a special award from Trade-Export-Finance (UK) for one of the ten best environmentally friendly projects in Europe and Eurasia in 2014.

Over the years of work in Turkmenistan, Hyundai Engineering has established itself as a reliable partner that can be trusted with confidence to implement the most complex projects.

Interested delegates are reminded that registration for in-person participation in TEIF 2024 is open until 5 April; for online participation - until 19 April. The event orginisers are also providing a visa support for the delegates.
