Despite their busy schedules and many responsibilities, some presidents still devote enough time to sleep. Due to the lack of reliable statistics, the editors of the Al Ain portal collected data on the amount of sleep of the world's most famous politicians, reports Mail.ru.

In the United States, about 30% of the population suffers from sleep deprivation (sleeping less than 7 hours a night). Obviously, this problem has not escaped the country's presidents. According to the autobiography of the 45th President of the United States, Donald Trump, he slept on average about four hours a day.

Barack Obama, Donald Trump's predecessor, slept five to six hours a day. He went to bed at one or two in the morning and got up at seven in the morning.

According to media reports, such famous politicians as Silvio Berlusconi, Angela Merkel and Margaret Thatcher slept very little. Berlusconi slept only two hours, Merkel put off sleep to work, and Thatcher slept four hours.

Winston Churchill also slept four hours a night. However, he liked to sleep during the day, which helped him regain his strength.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a meeting with voters that he tries to exercise and sleep six to seven hours a day.
