1. The opening ceremony of the Resource Center for Turkmen-German Comparative Law was held at the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan. The center was created on the basis of a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the legal field, signed between the Institute of State, Law and Democracy of Turkmenistan and GIZ. Within the framework of the opening ceremony, the corresponding Regulations on this Center were signed.
2. The volume of mutual trade between Turkmenistan and China at the end of 2023 amounted to more than 10 billion USD. The majority of bilateral trade turnover was made up of Turkmen exports worth 9 billion 633 million 228 thousand USD.
3. A book dedicated to the long-term study of the literary heritage of Anau poets and the study of new handwritten sources of folk art has been published in Turkmenistan. The publication of the book is timed to coincide with events dedicated to the announcement of the city of Anau as the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024. The book of 120 printed pages was published by the “Ylym” publishing house and is intended for a wide readership.
4. Turkmenistan has all the necessary infrastructure to become an important transit hub for cargo transportation between Europe and Asia. This was stated by Deputy Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Batyr Annayev, speaking at the opening of the investment forum on sustainable transport Global Gateway in Brussels. According to Annayev, in recent years Turkmenistan has actively invested in the development of transport infrastructure - more than 5000 km of railways, an international seaport in Turkmenbashy with a capacity of 17 million tons per year, the construction of new airports and the Ashgabat-Turkmenabat highway. These facilities open up opportunities for organizing sustainable and safe cargo transportation through Central Asia.
5. A meeting between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan Shadurdy Meredov and the rector of the National University of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent. During the negotiations, the parties discussed prospects for further development of bilateral cooperation in the field of education and scientific research, as well as strengthening partnerships between higher educational institutions of the two countries.

6. In the Netherlands, a 58 years old man known as a “restaurant pirate” was arrested for failing to pay his bills. According to some reports, the man has failed to pay his restaurant bills more than 100 times over the past few years. The arrest occurred after a fraudster feigned a stroke in a Delft establishment. After examining him, the doctors who arrived at the scene realized that he was faking it and refused to take him to the hospital. The restaurateur called the police, who took the man to the department and checked his documents. It turned out that the detainee is a known “restaurant pirate” who has received at least 127 complaints about non-payment of bills.
7. An 48 years old resident of Poland set a new record for frost resistance among women. She spent 3 hours 6 minutes 45 seconds in the ice. Before setting the record, the woman underwent a medical examination to ensure that this would not negatively affect her health. 8. The national football teams of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan will hold a friendly match in mid-March. The match is scheduled for March 14 at a training camp in Dubai. The national teams of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan met on the field 3 times. Twice the meeting came down to a draw, and once the victory went to the Kazakh team.
9. The Uzbekistan national football team won with a score of 2:1 over the Thai team in the 1/8 finals of the Asian Football Cup in Qatar. In the quarterfinals, the Uzbekistan team will play against the hosts of the tournament - the Qatar team, which beat Palestine with a score of 2:1 in the 1/8 finals.
