On Monday, January 23, the Spring-Summer 2024 season of Haute Couture Week opened in Paris. The fashion house Schiaparelli was the first to present its collections, reports graziamagazine.ru.

The new collection of creative director Daniel Roseberry was designed in a more restrained and classic style than the previous ones. There were no shamanic paraphernalia and artificial animal heads, which have become the hallmark of the brand in recent years.

Instead, the collection was dominated by elegant and feminine looks, crafted from luxurious fabrics and intricate cuts. Among the most interesting models were:

  • A robot child created in collaboration with artist and sculptor Jean-Paul Goude.

  • A dress made of microcircuits and crystals, decorated with calculators and telephones.

  • Items made from belts that created the effect of an “enveloping” silhouette.

  • “Bumpy” suits that were reminiscent of the futuristic fashion of the 1960s.

  • Dresses and tops with hyper shoulders growing upward.

The Schiaparelli collection received mixed reviews from critics. Some considered her too conservative and boring, while others noted her elegance and sophistication.

The next shows of Haute Couture Fashion Week will be held in Paris on January 24 and 25. The schedule includes such fashion houses as Valentino, Chanel, Giambattista Valli, Viktor & Rolf and many others.
