In January 2024, Turkmenistan will host celebrations and events dedicated to the New Year, the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi and other significant dates.
As Deputy Prime Minister Myahrijemal Mammedova announced at a Government meeting, forums, meetings, exhibitions, concerts and song and music celebrations will be held in the velayats, Ashgabat and the city of Arkadag, TDH writes.
It is planned to hold sports competitions among the country's universities and sum up the results of previously announced creative competitions.
New Year's events for children are also planned in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, in the Alem Cultural and Entertainment Center, in front of the State Circus, near the Christmas trees in the festive squares of the velayats and the city of Arkadag.
Among the main events of the coming month:
- an exhibition of works of fine art, master classes and a forum with the participation of artists from Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Iran;
- a solemn conference on the occasion of the inclusion of the multilateral nomination “The Great Silk Road: Zarafshan – Karakum Corridor” in the UNESCO World Heritage List;
- display of Turkmen national costumes at the Fashion House of the Ministry of Textile Industry;
- award ceremony for the winners of the children's competition named after Gulbaba;
- forum and exhibition on the occasion of declaring the city of Anau the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to properly prepare for the events of January 2024 and in this regard gave specific instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.
