The new appointed Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia Esen Aydogdyev presented copies of his credentials to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Andrey Rudenko, the Turkmen diplomatic mission in Moscow reports.
During the conversation, the parties noted the fruitful development of Turkmen-Russian bilateral relations, which have now reached the level of strategic partnership.
Diplomats noted the active growth of political contacts at different levels and in various fields. Constructive interaction between Turkmenistan and Russia in the international arena within the framework of authoritative international organizations was emphasized.
The interlocutors positively assessed the dynamics of cooperation in the economic, cultural and educational fields. In particular, agreements were noted on the creation of a joint university in Turkmenistan, the construction of a new building of the Russian Drama Theater in Ashgabat, as well as a new building of the joint Turkmen-Russian secondary school named after. Among the upcoming events on the bilateral agenda, an important role is played by the upcoming meeting of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation to discuss topical issues of partnership.
Regarding interaction in the Caspian region, diplomats noted the productivity of last year’s 6th summit of the Caspian states in Ashgabat and the importance of the decisions taken at it.
Esen Aydogdyev and Andrey Rudenko agreed to continue close working contacts between the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan in Moscow and the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov appointed Esen Aydogdyev Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation on November 10, 2023. He replaced Batyr Niyazliev in this post.
