1. On October 11, Turkmenistan will host the Vienna Ball, which will be held in the city of Arkadag. The Austrian delegation, which will visit Turkmenistan on this occasion, will include famous opera soloists and dance duets. The Vienna Ball is being organized in Turkmenistan for the fifth time. The first ball was held in Ashgabat in 2011. The event was initiated by the Austrian-Turkmen Society with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. Over the years, the Vienna Ball has become a tradition of Turkmen-Austrian cultural dialogue.

2. During the period from October 17 to 19, Turkmenistan will host the Days of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan. The events will be in the capital of the country, Ashgabat, and in the city of Mary. Within the framework of the culture days, concerts, exhibitions, presentations, master classes and other events dedicated to the culture and traditions of Tatarstan will be held.

3. The State Cyber Security Service of Turkmenistan under the Turkmen Communications Agency and the State Unitary Enterprise “Cyber Security Center” of Uzbekistan signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the field of cyber security. The document was signed at the Cyber Security Central Eurasia conference in Tashkent. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding is an important step in the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of cybersecurity between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan. The document will help strengthen the security of information and communication systems and infrastructure of the two countries.

4. In the Amazon forests, river dolphins and fish are dying due to drought and extreme heat. Over the course of a week, more than a hundred river dolphins died in the Amazon basin because they could not withstand the increase in water temperature to 38 degrees. In addition to dolphins, thousands of Amazonian fish are dying. According to Brazilian environmental officials, the region has already lost 5 to 10 percent of its total freshwater dolphin population.
